EZShopFlow is a well priced all in one erp and it was built by an actual machinist, which is more than you can say for most shop software. Quoting, as9100 quality docs, tool inventory, time cards, job tracking, the whole thing. If you want everything under one roof, its a legit pick.
Its also windows only and installs on your local network. If your guys on the floor have phones, you cant really use it from there. And if you only care about the job tracking piece, youre paying for a lot of stuff you dont need. Swarfs just the job tracking. $49/mo flat, works on phones, ipads, tvs, mac, windows, doesnt matter.
Heres the honest take. EZShopFlow is trying to be your whole shop in one program. Quoting, scheduling, qc, accounting, documents, everything. If you want all that under one roof and you already run a windows network, its a reasonable choice. The guy who built it actually runs a cnc shop, which is rare in this space.
Swarf is trying to be the job tracking part and nothing else. No quoting, no accounting, no qc docs. If you need those, swarf isnt the tool for you. Go look at ezshopflow or proshop.
But if your real pain is "we lose jobs on the whiteboard" or "the guys on the floor cant see whats running from their phones," swarf does just that. You can plug it in next to your existing quickbooks, paperless parts, whatever youre already using. Doesnt replace your accounting. Doesnt make you set up a windows server. Just a job board the whole shop can see from any device.
