I build Swarf Shop from upstate NY. It's just me.

I started it after talking to shop owners on Practical Machinist. Same story every time: your options are $3,700 desktop software from fifteen years ago, or generic job trackers that don't know what a setup sheet is.

Shops deserve better than that. I think people deserve nice things — software that doesn't fight you, doesn't need a training course, and doesn't charge per seat. Something that helps you stop losing track of jobs.

This isn't a side project I'm going to sell. No investors, no plan to bolt on accounting or MRP. I'm building the simplest tool a shop can actually use, and I'm going to keep it that way.

I answer my own support emails. If something's broken, tell me — it gets on the list that day.
